Floors Elements

CoorItalia’s Architectural Elements Division offers all horizontal surfaces, that include all interior floors and exterior courtyards, terraces, porches, loggias, arcades, quadrangles and cloisters.

We first start with the idea the client, architect, or and the interior designer shares with us.  Then, we pick the material together that is most suitable for the specific project , will it be marble, limestone, travertine, or terracotta. In some cases, our clients can even go visit the quarry in Europe with our team. If there are no constraints of durability or the necessity to match an existing material, you certainly have unlimited choices.

CoorItalia works with the client from day one, takes you to the quarry if you wish, follows shipping to job site until final installation. We can manage the logistics, update you on timely delivery and assures that your product meets your exact specifications.

Cooritalia can guide your choices about the best stone selection for your uses and applications, e.g., suitable for rainy locations, high traffic, long-wearing, etc. We build in the energy efficiency of radiant heating to add functionality to the warmth and beauty of your natural stone floor.

CoorItalia experts can also recommend the correct thickness together with the finishes to suit your application: bush hammered, brushed, sand blasted, honed, whatever is right for the task at hand. If critical aspects of your floor design need to be studied or finalized, to accommodate existing conditions onsite, the floor pattern can be mocked-up for client approval before the shop drawing process gets started.

To view an entire project entrusted to CoorItalia, see the Carmel Santa Lucia Preserve Case Study. There are two interesting flooring aspects – the use of limestone both inside and outside, and a special project where we were asked to create marble book matched  triangular tiles for a a powder room. This second project is highlighted in A Unique Powder Room.
