The Creation of a “Silver” Sink

Don’t get us wrong: when we say “Silver”, we never mean metal! It is all about a splendid, rare travertine called silver because of its grey veins.

The commission, coming from Nicole Hollis Design, was a vessel to stand on a counter. Designers provided both the drawings and the specs, in order for us to find the right block.

While you look at the block, you can only guess at the veins inside: for this reason, two sinks were first carved and then hand finished. One comes with a beautiful grey vein, that circled the inside of the sink drain.
